Safe and Local Supplier Approval

Fine Tea Merchants Ltd is certified by SALSA.

Written by experienced food safety experts, SALSA is a robust and effective food safety certification scheme.

SALSA approval is only granted to suppliers who are able to demonstrate to an auditor that they are able to produce and supply safe and legal food and are committed to continually meeting the requirements of the SALSA standard

Rainforest Alliance

Fine Tea Merchants Ltd is proud to source teas from estates certified by the Rainforest Alliance.

The Rainforest Alliance works to create a better future for people and nature by making responsible business the new normal. Certification ensures that tea is grown and harvested using methods that support social, economic, and environmental sustainability.

By supporting Rainforest Alliance Certified producers, we contribute to a fairer, more climate-resilient tea industry.

Organic Food Federation

We use The Organic Food Federation as our organic certifier. The Organic Food Federation was established in 1986 and is now one of the UK's leading certification bodies operating nationally in all areas of organics.

The Federation (operating under the code GB-ORG-04) provides a professional and personal service to a wide range of registrants. OFF are UKAS accredited to ISO/IEC 17065:2012. OFF standards are recognised as equivalent to NOP (National Organic Program) and meet the requirements of the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture).
